Achub ein gorsafoedd tân

Save our fire stations

Mae Gwasanaeth Tân ac Achub Gogledd Cymru wrthi'n ymgynghori ynglŷn â'r modd y byddent yn rhedeg eu gwasanaethau yn y dyfodol. Maent yn cynnig tri opsiwn i ni.

Mae un o'r rhain (Opsiwn 3) yn cynnwys cau 5 gorsaf dân 'ar-alwad', gan gynnwys Cerrigydrudion a Chonwy. Byddai Opsiwn 3 yn golygu colli 74 diffoddwr tân (36 llawn amser a 38 ar-alwad).

Teimlwn fod cadw'r gwasanaethau tân lleol yn bwysig. Mewn argyfwng, gorsafoedd tân lleol yw'r ffordd orau i gyrraedd pobl yn gyflym - maent yn agosach ac yn adnabod eu hardal yn dda, gan arbed amser sy'n hollbwysig.

Mae'r diffoddwyr tân yn peryglu eu bywydau i'n hachub ni, ac maent yn rhan o'n cymunedau.

Dyna pam rydym ni, yn dweud NA wrth Opsiwn 3 - Achubwch ein Gorsafoedd Tân.

The North Wales Fire and Rescue Service are consulting on the way they will deliver services in the future. They are offering us 3 options.

One of these options (Option 3) includes closing 5 ‘on-call’ fire stations, including Cerrigydrudion and Conwy. Option 3 would lead to the loss of 74 firefighters (36 whole time and 38 on-call).

We feel that maintaining local fire stations are important. At a time of emergency, local fire stations are best placed to get to people quickly – they are closer and know the area well, saving valuable time.

Firefighters risk their lives to save ours, and they are part of their communities.

That is why we, say NO to Option 3 – Save our fire stations.

After yesterday’s fire at Conwy Marina, it shows more than ever we need the fire service as close as possible !!! If that’s not a wake up call, I don’t know what is.

At a time of increasing heatwaves with increased risk of fire, closing fire stations and losing emergency personnel seems short sighted and counter intuitive. Save the Conwy station.
